Botanical Gardens
The Botanical Garden of the Ozarks features events for both adults and children. The firefly fling in July is a charming event for young children and the International Festival is a great showcase of the area’s diversity. Evening events such as Chefs in the Garden are fun for adults.
Compton Gardens is a 6.5-acre area developed into an Ozark native garden that has quickly become a regional destination. The garden is open to the public daily from dawn until dusk.
Unique Walks
Terra Studios is a free art park on the outskirts of Fayetteville. Children and adults love walking around the gardens and paths to look at all the strange, whimsical and unique pottery creatures. Have a snack in the gift shop and sit in a quirky, artsy booth.
The Tanyard Creek Loop in Bella Vista has easy walking trails with streams, a swinging bridge and a waterfall. Kids will love looking at fish, crawdads, and water bugs in the crystal-clear water.
Seasonal Activities
Splash Pad and Ice Rink
From May to September, Lawrence Plaza features a splash pad. From November to January, the pad is converted into an outdoor ice rink. Bentonville Parks and Recreation hosts several events and programs at this facility throughout the year. The park offers snow cones in the summer and hot chocolate in the winter.

Minor League Baseball
What’s more American than rooting for the home team? The Naturals treat their fans well. They have fun promotions for families for their most popular events, such as Star Wars and Super hero theme nights.
Laser Tag, Paintball and Archery
Off Joyce Avenue in Fayetteville, Modern Mission has indoor and outdoor areas for play.
Mini Golf
Gator Golf has a full 18-hole course. They offer a free game if you get a hole-in-one on the 18th hole. You can see a great sunset if you time it right.
